Youth From South Kashmir’s Dooru Shahabad Clears UPSC Exam

Waseem Ahmad Bhat, a youth from a remote village from South Kashmir’s Anantnag has cleared the UPSC exam. He is the first one from his village to crack the prestigious examination.

Many have turned their dream of becoming a civil servant into reality with the recently declared results of the UPSC exam.

One of them is Waseem Ahmad Bhat, a youth from a remote village of Dooru Shahabad from South Kashmir’s Anantnag. He is the first one from his village to crack the prestigious exam.

Bhat, a civil engineer by qualification, scored 225th all India rank in the exam, making his village and family proud.

Neighbours and friends have been thronging his house to congratulate him on the achievement ever since the UPSC results came out.

Bhat, who got inclined towards studying for UPSC during his college days at NIT, wants to work for the welfare of the public, especially marginalised groups.
