From keeping people safe to treating people, doctors gave their invaluable contribution in saving people’s lives during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The National Doctors’ Day is observed in the United States of America (USA) on March 30.
The aim behind observing this day is to honour doctors for their dedication and contribution to society. Health care organisations celebrate the day. The idea of celebrating the National Doctors’ Day was given by Eudora Brown Almond, wife of Dr. Charles B. Almond in 1933.
The date which was chosen for the celebration was the anniversary of the first use of general anaesthesia. On March 30, 1842 Dr Crawford Long used ether to anaesthetise a patient. On the National Doctors’ Day, you can play your part by thanking your doctor or physician for providing you with treatment and taking care of you.
Here are some wishes/messages and quotes you can send to doctors who are front line workers who are working day and night during the difficult time of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
