Colorado: Multiple people lost their lives including a police officer who was on duty in a mass shooting at a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado. According to the Boulder police department, a suspect is in their custody and they have yet to confirm the number of people who were shot till their families are notified. At King Sooper grocery store, a shooter open fired on unsuspecting customers and responding officers, on Monday (March 22).
The law enforcement officers said the suspect used a rifle for the attack and was in their custody. The authorities however have offered no other details about the victims, including any information about a motive behind the deadly attack.
Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold said that around 10 people may have lost their lives in the attack including a police officer who was one of the respondents to the distress call. Boulder Police is currently holding the suspect under custody, who is undergoing treatment for his injuries.
Boulder Police Department Commander Kerry Yamaguchi added that with one suspect in custody, they are still investigating if they were other shooters on the scene.
